A Guide to Panjabi
What this book is about
An English-medium coursebook for learning Punjabi, written by B. Jawahir Singh and described in its preface as almost a self-teacher for students far from any Punjabi-speaking teacher. The preface advises learners to note words that resemble one another and to group related vocabulary together, giving examples in Gurmukhi, and states that it is prescribed for the Punjab higher-standard examination. First published in 1902, this is the second edition of 1989, published by J. Jetley for Asian Educational Services, New Delhi and Madras, ISBN 81-206-0434-2.
