An encyclopaedia-style volume on Punjab covering history, art, literature and culture, edited by Mohinder Singh Rodha and published by the Director of the Language Department, Punjab, Patiala, printed at New Yug Press, Chandni Chowk, Delhi. The preface by Partap Singh Kairon, Chief Minister of Punjab and dated 29 May 1960, urges the editor to carry forward the volumes begun under Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha so that readers have a reliable account of Punjab's culture and of the mutual knowledge that has faded between the Indian states and between parts of Punjab. The colophon notes the volume was first issued in 1960 and prices it at Rs 14.
