What this book is about

A Punjabi typing instructor's practice book, built up of specimen letters, word-building and letter combination exercises, typing speed practice, letterwriting technique and note-writing, together with sample business, official and personal letters and general-knowledge passages to be typed as speed tests. The preface explains that the practice material is drawn from actual typing tests used in Punjab's government departments, so that candidates for typing-based jobs can prepare, and the book is also advertised as a model for the Punjabi section of the Panjab University Class I and Class II typing examinations. It was dedicated at the 300th Gurpurab celebrations of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, when the author was Director, Lalit Kala Akademi and later Registrar of Punjabi Sahitya Akademi, and was authored by Gurvinder Singh.
