What this book is about
Charan Chalau Marag Gobind ('Let us walk on the path of Gobind'), by Dr. Narjan Singh Sath(i), is a day-by-day history of the travels of Guru Gobind Singh ji, published by Lahore Sarkar Shap, near Shashai Cinema, Ludhiana, at 895 rupees. A long biographical foreword by Barjinder Singh Hamdard, chief editor of Ajit Prakashan Samuh, dated 20 July 2010, sets out Sathi's career as a researcher, editor of the Ajit supplement for eight years, and collector of relics and historical material. The first chapter, 'Guru Itihas te Lok Itihas di Vishrennu', explains that only the histories of kings and courtiers used to be written, that the new age of science has opened the way to popular history, and gives Sathi's own method: travelling to every place Guru Gobind Singh ji visited and checking the accounts of Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha.
