What this book is about
Gurmat Moti, Gian Da Sagar (part one) is a glossary drawn from the Gurbani, described on its cover as pearls of Gurmat in the ocean of knowledge; the earlier parts had been edited at Ambala and the printing and binding is credited to Gyan Ganga Chakwal and Sardar Printing, Jalandhar, with the publisher listed as Lahore Sarkar Shap, near Shashai Cinema, Ludhiana. The volume is dedicated to Giani Ditt Singh ji of Chakk, who campaigned against the misuse of Gurbani and the deflection of path scholars into revenue department jobs. The body of the book is an alphabetical index of some ninety religious terms, from Adai, Adh Phal and Adho Jora through to Satiguru, Sewa, Sohagni, Haumai and Hathyar, each with the page number of the passage quoted.
