What this book is about
Historical Sikh Shrines in Pakistan is a study of Sikh places of pilgrimage in Pakistan, written and photographed by Iqbal Qaiser and published by the Punjabi History Board, Township, Lahore, in 1998, printed at A and W Printers on Abbot Road, Lahore, and distributed in Pakistan by Book Traders of Mian Chambers, Temple Road, Lahore, and in America and Europe by the Council of Sikh Gurdwara in Handsworth, Birmingham. Gurmukhi portions were contributed by Jameel Ahmad Paul and Asif Raza, and the English translation is credited to Khalid Mehboob, Shafqat Tanveer Mirza, Faiz-ul Islam and others. The book is illustrated with the researcher's own photographs, priced at 2,000 rupees in Pakistan and 45 US dollars elsewhere, and is dedicated to Baba Farid Ji and Guru Nanak Dev Ji, with an Urdu and an English dedication. Much of the body is Gurmukhi script that the scan renders poorly, so the individual shrines are not legible here, but the volume's purpose and credits are plain.
