Nitnem Steek - Prof Sahib Singh

What this book is about

A nitnem, that is a book of daily devotional readings, published by Singh Brothers of Amritsar (S.C.O. 223-24, Amritsar 143001, with a second address at Ludhiana 141006), carrying the ISBN 81-7205-028-3 and a printed price of Rs 100. The title page lists a long run of impressions from 1979 through the 2000s, ending with a printing dated 2012. The body is set in an old Gurmukhi typeface whose OCR comes out largely garbled, so the individual readings can be followed only in outline: recurring section headings with numbered entries, each followed by notes on the wording and the sense of the passages, much in the manner of a scriptural commentary with translation. Because the fine print is not reliably legible, we cannot name the individual sections with confidence.
