Sau Sakhi 1
What this book is about
Opens with the Kalambod (kabot) by Bhai Nand Lal, the earliest known work on Gurmukhi grammar, written around 1600 as a primer for learning the script. The teacher's comments are printed with it, including the note that these are all words of love and affection, and that wrong meanings should be checked when writing. Despite the catalogue title, this is one of the most important early Punjabi texts in existence.
