What this book is about
A course in Panjabi for adults by Dr Hardev Bahri, M.A., M.O.L., Ph.D., D.Litt., issued by the Publication Bureau of Punjabi University, Patiala in 2011 and printed at Anand Sons, Delhi, ISBN 81-7380-393-5, with an editorial committee under Harbans Singh. The preface argues that adults can learn second languages as efficiently as children and that Indians should master Indian languages before foreign ones, and states that the course is aimed primarily at non-Panjabi English-speaking Indians while also helping foreigners and Panjabis curious about the system of their mother tongue. It opens by teaching Gurmukhi with Roman script alongside, dropping the duplication after about page 27 with a revision later in the book.
