Varaan Bhai Gurdas Steek - Bhai Vir Singh
by www.DiscoverSikhism.com
What this book is about
A critical edition of the Varan Bhai Gurdas, described on the title page as the hidden treasury of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, printed with the bhav (meanings) and prepared as Pandit Gyani Hazar Singh's last service, then completed, edited and published by Bhai Vir Singh, with a list of corrections supplied from Dasa's Purdur. It is the 22nd reprint from Bhai Vir Singh Sahitya Sadan, Bhai Vir Singh Marg, New Delhi (July 2012), and its colophon records eleven earlier printings from August 1911 onward, including the 41st edition of May 1933 which restored missing pages and the 1951 and 1962 printings that collated the text against very old manuscripts. The 1984 printing notes some passages still awaiting inclusion.
