Guru Granth Sahib

The eternal Guru, and the writings that make it. 244 books.

The Guru Granth Sahib is the eternal Guru of the Sikh faith and the central scripture of Sikhism. It carries 1,431 verses across 31 ragis, composed by the ten Gurus from Guru Nanak to Guru Gobind Singh. Guru Gobind Singh completed the Adi Granth in 1604 at Goindiwala and gave it its final status, declaring it the eternal Guru in place of his own person. No Guru after him has added to it, and it is treated as living and breathing rather than as a closed text. This collection holds the scripture itself alongside commentaries, translations and studies of it.
